Garment Fabric Labels
	Labels are produced on a variety of materials and fabrics utilizing various processes including Printed Labels on Satin, Acetate, Polyester, Nylon, and Cotton Twill, and Woven Labels on Taffeta, Satin, and Damask. We are capable of producing your most sophisticated and unique label design by combining an unlimited number of standard or custom sizes, colors, materials, and options. Labels. are produced with stringent quality standards in cut singles, rolls, or with end-fold, middle-fold, or mitre-fold.
	Specifications There are five basic pieces of information needed to provide a quote. These include Type of Label, Material, Size, No of Colors, and Quantity. Once a custom quote is obtained, the artwork can be created or supplied which would contain the necessary additional info to create your custom label (i.e. The exact size and shape of the label, the specific colors and type (printed or woven), etc.). Minimum Order The minimum order for printed labels depends on the no. of colors as shown below: 1 Color 2,000 (2M) 2 Colors 2,000 (2M) 3 Colors 3,000 (3M) 4 Colors 4,000 (4M) 5 Colors 5,000 (5M) The minimum order for woven labels is 5,000 (5M) labels irrespective of colors (upto 5). Available Materials A variety of label materials and fabrics are available as substrate. The most common material is Satin Coated Acetate that has a satiny finish and does not require folding. Other fabrics include Satin, Polyester, Nylon and Cotton Twill for printed labels, and Taffeta, Satin, and Damask for woven labels. Standard Sizes Woven labels can be produced in any size from 7x20mm (.25x.75") to 75x125mm (3x5"). Printed fabric labels are available in standard ribbon sizes from .25" to 3" in .25" (1/4") increments. The most common size for shirt labels are 1x2" or 1x2 1/2". Standard Colors Over 20 colors are considered A B B standard colors for printed fabric labels as shown below (Colors vary from actual printed color depending on the monitor used). For woven labels, colors can be closely matched to most colors on a Pantone color book or a customer sample at no additional charge. Nevertheless, to avoid font problems, all text with non-standard fonts should be converted to outline: - In Adobe Illustrator: Select Type, Then Create Outlines (Cmd+Shift+O) - In CorelDraw: Select Arrange, Then Convert to Curves (Ctrl+Q) Finally, the following ABB Standard Fonts are provided to simplify design, and reduce font applications. They also happen to be our favorites! Finishing All labels are produced with stringent quality standards for a smooth and easy application. The labels can finally be packaged hot knife singles, with end-fold, middle-fold, mitre-fold, or supplied in rolls as shown below: Getting a Quote A B B's online quote program is designed to be an easy way to compare prices with various options, sizes, and number of colors. Supplying Artwork Our staff of professional graphic designers utilize a series of fully networked PowerMac & PC computers loaded with all the major graphics software. We can create or refine the most demanding label designs. Artwork is accepted in virturally any format from mechanical art (e.g. velux. negs, or a simple sketch) to most sophisticated electronic files (in any standard format including the latest versions of Adobe Illustrator, PageMaker, Photoshop, QuarkXpress, Coreldraw, and Freehand) or a combination thereof. Graphic files can be supplied on 3 1/2" disks, CD's, Zips, Jazz, and Syquests, or e-mailed to Art@abblabels.com. When supplying artwork on disk please make certain that all related graphic files (EPS's, Tiff's & nonstandard Fonts) are included, along with a laser/color proof, to avoid any errors and delays. Shipping Info. A B B utilizes various shipping & delivery methods to optimize turnaround and reduce costs. These include United Parcel Service (for most orders), Federal Express (for rush jobs), Yellow Freight (for oversized shipments) and a fleet of A B B vans (for local deliveries). A sizable number of customers also prefer to 'will call' their orders due to the convenient location (downtown Los Angeles) and accessability of A B B (easy access from Freeways 5, 10, 60, 101, 110, and 710). Payment & Terms A B B accepts a variety of options as forms of payment. These include cash, check (bank, company or personal) and all major debit and credit cards. Standard terms for first time orders are 50% deposit plus balance due COD. For future orders Net 30 terms can be established upon submittal of credit application and approval of credit.
